May 15, 2007 - The Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) has awarded L. Leona Frank with a scholarship to attend the ISBA Solo and Small Firm Conference to be held May 31 to June 2, 2007 at the Sheraton-Indianapolis.
April 25, 2007 - Ms. Frank has accepted an appointment by the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division Chair-Elect as the Vice Chair of the Minorities in the Profession Committee. Her term will begin in August 2007.
January 2007 - L. Leona Frank has accepted a volunteer position to serve on the Harvest Celebration Committee for the John H. Boner Community Center. The Boner Center serves the near Eastside of Indianapolis and provides multiple programs to respond to the hopes and aspirations of eastside community residents. October 5, 2006 - L. Leona Frank has been awarded the Joseph T. Helling Scholarship bestowed in recognition by the Indiana Bar Foundation for Ms. Frank’s community involvement, public service, commitment to professionalism and civility and dedication to the legal profession and family. Ms. Frank received the scholarship to attend the Indiana State Bar Association’s Annual Meeting.
August 2006 - L. Leona Frank has been bestowed a scholarship by the American Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division, Minorities in the Profession Committee which is an award bestowed upon attorneys who have shown excellence in character and practice with the intention to promote leadership in the organizations.
May 2006 - L. Leona Frank has received an Honorable Mention in SEAK, Inc. National Legal Fiction Writing Contest for her entry “Challenging Customs.”
June 2004 - The Indianapolis Bar Association announced that L. Leona Frank is the Bench Bar Scholarship recipient to attend the 2004 Bench Bar Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio.
